What if you suddenly miss someone who has died? Apparently there is a board called Ouija, which can help to be able to communicate with the spirits of dead people. The Board is used by Elaine Morris (Olivia Cooke) due to meet her best friend, Debbie (Shelley Hennig), who have surprising died after committing suicide in her own house.
Ouija board itself is a wooden plank that contain numbers, letters and symbols, which can be used to communicate with the spirits of dead people. The Ouija board game similar to the game calling the spirits Jaelangkung in Indonesia. The difference, if Jaelangkung using media such as coconut shells and two pieces of wood that formed the cross. However, they both will bring misfortune to those who play it.
That said, the Ouija board was first discovered in China in 1100 BC. But newly popular and widely sold in the 1890s by Elijah Bond and Charles Kennard. In the current era, the US toy company, Hasbro which famous for Monopoly, has also been producing an Ouija board. Well, in this movie, Elaine found at Debbie's house.
